Cannabis As Medicine

Cannabis has long been recognized for its medicinal properties, serving as a natural remedy across various cultures for millennia. In contemporary medicine, it is increasingly prescribed for a range of symptoms and conditions due to its effectiveness in pain relief, anti-inflammation, and as an anti-emetic. Cannabinoids, the active chemicals in cannabis, such as THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol), are known to interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which influences pain, mood, and physical responses. This interaction helps modulate the sensation of pain and can reduce physical discomfort in conditions like arthritis, migraine, and fibromyalgia.

The therapeutic use of cannabis is expanding as research sheds more light on its efficacy and safety profile, which is comparable or sometimes superior to those of traditional medications, especially with fewer severe side effects. This has led to its prescribed use in chronic conditions, such as chronic pain and severe muscle spasms, and it’s becoming a critical option for patients who do not respond well to other therapies. As acceptance grows, cannabis continues to offer a promising alternative path for patients seeking effective and holistic treatment options.

New Cannabinoid Research

CBG is often referred to as the “mother of all cannabinoids” because it serves as a precursor to THC, CBD, and CBC. It is non-psychoactive and is believed to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-tumor properties. Early studies suggest it could be particularly beneficial for treating conditions such as glaucoma, inflammatory bowel disease, and different types of cancer.

CBC is one of the six most researched cannabinoids but is less well-known than THC or CBD. It does not produce a euphoric “high” and is believed to contribute to the overall analgesic effects of cannabis through the entourage effect. CBC has shown potential anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties and may play a role in promoting brain health by stimulating neurogenesis (the growth and development of nervous tissue).

CBN is a cannabinoid that forms as THC ages and is exposed to oxygen and heat. It is mildly psychoactive and is best known for its sedative effects, making it a potential aid for those with insomnia. Additionally, CBN has shown potential in pain relief applications and as an anti-inflammatory agent.

Unlike THC, THCV is a cannabinoid that offers a unique array of effects and benefits. It is known to act as an appetite suppressant, which is quite opposite to the “munchies” often associated with THC. It also may help to regulate blood sugar levels and reduce insulin resistance, making it a subject of interest for diabetes research. Early research also suggests that THCV may help reduce panic attacks and promote bone growth.

Our Approach

Sustainable Cultivation

We are committed to sustainable farming practices, utilizing Antoine Mordican’s signature hydroponics growth method to ensure that each plant is grown under optimal conditions without harming the environment. Our approach ensures that we produce high-quality, organic cannabis that is both effective and eco-friendly.

Educational Outreach

Education is at the core of our mission. We believe in not just growing cannabis but also in growing knowledge. Through comprehensive education and transparent communication, we share our unique growing processes and the science of cannabis with our clients and the community, enhancing understanding and appreciation for the plant’s benefits.

Quality and Precision

Our “measured and managed” strategy underscores every aspect of our operations. From the careful selection of seeds to the meticulous monitoring of growth conditions, we focus on precision and control to consistently produce superior cannabis. This attention to detail ensures that every harvest meets our high standards and our customers’ expectations

Community and Legacy

Native Black Enterprise is more than just a farm; it’s a family and a community built on the foundations of unconditional love and teamwork. We are driven by the goal of creating a lasting legacy, not only through our products but also through our contributions to the community and the cannabis industry.
